Thanks to the tireless work of M. Herrera he finds that 14 states likely set new March max temp records in this #heatwave. That’s an absurd # of state records. Now of course in order to be deemed official, NOAA will have to certify all the numbers. So we will see what ends up in NOAA’s record books.
The findings are that of @extremetemps - I can tell you that the research involved is no easy task. I merely created a graphic to help illustrate the extent of the heatwave.

Right now it looks like 1-2” of rain js possible this wknd. Wouldn’t normally be a concern, but there are creeks & streams littered with debris from the recent ice storm. Also widespread tree debris (clogging drains & ditches) waiting to be collected. This could be problematic
