Following the commotion at the UN headquarters and the questions posed by the Atlantic Council to Al-Julani—the head of Syria’s transitional phase—they failed to address the needs of the Syrian people.

You were pleased with the meeting with Al-Julani and the voluntary return of the Syrian refugees to Syria.
I am telling you as I did before you are such big liar.
I need explanation for this picture below.
Syrians are demonstrating in front of the United Nations to seek protection against being returned to their homeland, Syria.
Excellent to see President Ahmad al-Sharaa at #UNGA, having met regularly during my Syria visits.
3.8m Syrians have returned home voluntarily since December. Alongside government we’re focused on clearing mines so more can rebuild their lives safely.
A related question must also be addressed:
In August 2014, while you were the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra, 45 United Nations peacekeepers from Fiji serving with the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights were taken hostage by members of Jabhat al-Nusra.
Do you personally accept responsibility for that operation as the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra at the time? Do you condemn the abduction of those 45 UN peacekeepers today, and do you explicitly acknowledge that the kidnapping was wrong?
And if you now say that you have changed and that your ideology has evolved, can you clearly state what you believe was wrong about Jabhat al-Nusra’s actions in 2014—and specifically, about the abduction of United Nations peacekeepers?
Today, that same man stands before the same international
institution whose personnel he once ordered
Syria is regaining its global standing—or so you claim—simply because you are receiving vast sums of money from the Muslim Brotherhood to help advance their agenda in the region.
Every American needs to know the truth about you; you must be held accountable under U.S. law for handling Muslim Brotherhood funds at the expense of your own country.

Grateful to be with Syrian President @AH_AlSharaa on the sidelines of UNGA. After 54 years of Ba’athist socialist dictatorship under the brutal Assad crime family, Syria is reclaiming its place in the world and is a valued partner of the U.S.
To the person who interviewed Al-Julani
I address my question:
When you were known in 2013 as Abu Mohammad al-Julani and were leading Jabhat al-Nusra, you pledged allegiance to al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. Do you now explicitly renounce that pledge and the ideology that stood behind it?
What is striking about your answer is that you did not give a direct and unequivocal repudiation of either the pledge or al-Qaeda’s ideology.
You said that you have answered this question many times before, and that many things have become part of the past. You also said that you had to “update yourself,” that you were a different age at the time, that the circumstances in the region were different, and that your thinking evolved throughout the Syrian war and your conflict with the Assad regime.

A valued conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister HH Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. Our message is steady and clear: the United States stands with the Kingdom as a partner in security and stability. In moments of regional turbulence, enduring friendships matter most. 🇺🇸🇸🇦
