@MSHospital we are using SIM frequently in many scenarios. De-escalation is an art that takes a lot of practice and experience but so essential for the safety of all.
Staff and physicians in our Emergency Department, 1 Centre and 2 Centre took part in de-escalation simulations earlier today.
Staff learned about the Gentle Persuasive Approach and practiced preventative strategies to avoid violent encounters.
