For comparison, Missouri, a state with less than one-third of New York’s population and that legalized adult-use cannabis nearly two years (!) after New York, has generated nearly $6 billion in cannabis sales since.
@GovKathyHochul celebrating $4 billion in sales in the 5.5 years after New York passed the MRTA is deeply misleading. It obscures just how significantly the state’s legal cannabis market has underperformed.
@StaesDavid Good luck with that. Republicans aren’t going to lose sleep over 1000 finance bros that are invested in losing stocks… tides are turning against Big Marijuana.
@_chrisroberts Its frustrating that she played a leading role in destroying the VA hemp industry this year.. lawful operators shut down because of the bill she co-sponsored, while her operation flagrantly colored outside the lines, simultaneously rigging the system to beat the license lottery.
@_chrisroberts@DavidVanSkiver I’m very curious what testing methods they plan on using… it’s so strikingly odd to me that the majority of legal weed on the market tests under .3% THC, yet all these law enforcement field tests that target smoke shops somehow yield something much higher…
@_chrisroberts@DavidVanSkiver They didn’t even try to sell THCa flower…. This has nothing to do with hemp and everything to do with potential corruption, bribery and money laundering.
@TheDankInformer@V_arrell Same could be said about shitting down marijuana laws because criminals are diverting and using illegal pesticides.
You’re taking the whole cannabis industry down with you with this ridiculous logic.
@TheDankInformer@V_arrell And changing the legal definition of hemp would stop criminals that are already not abiding by the current definition of hemp.... how…..?
@TheDankInformer A store selling products outside the legal definition of hemp…. Changing the definition of hemp would not have prevented this activity. You’re reaching.
@TheDankInformer@_chrisroberts She very clearly says here “it’s not hemp.” This has nothing to do with definition of hemp. You’re grifting.
Don’t conflate these allegations with legitimate actors in the hemp space that actually follow the law.
@TheDankInformer@V_arrell Nice try — that is not legal hemp and very different than the 757 situation.
What other claims are you going to illegally attribute to me?
