Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

On behalf of all meme enthusiasts everywhere, I just wanted to wish you good luck for tomorrow’s speech at the UN and assure you that we would be rooting for you. Don’t be nervous. Don’t think about anyone comparing your speech with THAT speech in 2019. You are in New York, and he, his wife, his sisters are in jail. That’s all that matters.

Besides, you cannot do worse than you did last time.

So take a deep breath and relax. You have done everything you could have done to prepare for this.

1. You left Pakistan 10 days in advance to get away from it all. You switched off all the stupid distractions in your life – like the problems of delivering good governance, security, jobs to the 250 million ungrateful assholes who hate you and would never vote for you anyway.

2. You made sure to break your journey in London (for five days) to acclimate your body clock gradually to the 9-hour time difference between New York and Islamabad. Imagine if you had flown in directly from Islamabad a day before the speech. You would have been tired, cranky and not feeling your best.
3. You brought in a different plane from Pakistan to fly you to NY from London because...I have no idea, I'm sure you had your reasons.

4. You duly locked yourself up in a room with “Doctor” Shama Junejo in London and fed her Zingers as she fed you some insane ideas for your UN speech which you then dumped after your ADC called her/them “batshit crazy.”

5. You muted Mosharraf Zaidi on WhatsApp two weeks ago.

6. You practiced your hand gestures, finger wagging and fist pounding for hours in front of a mirror in London.

7. You spent two hours every day lifting (fondling?) two little round objects in each of your hands while thinking of the nice things you would say about Trump and your boss, the field marshal. Remember, Trump may be the most powerful man in the world (and may have called you “terrific”) but the field marshal has you by your two little round objects – never forget that.

So take a deep breath and relax. You got this. All the preparation, all the revisions, all the compliments to the CDF you have worked in to your speech...all of that has been leading up to this one supreme moment of national embarrassment on the world stage. Don’t think about the people of Pakistan (that's never been a problem for you) or all the secondhand embarrassment they will feel. Just tell yourself: “the mofos didn’t vote for me anyway and I will be back home in London in a few hours.”

Remember, no one would be watching your speech anyway, and Sir @TararAttaullah will get it boosted on YouTube and X, like he did last time.

🇵🇰 Pakistan is lining Attock Bridge with metal spikes to stop Imran Khan's supporters from marching on Islamabad this Sunday.

The bridge is the main crossing between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, where PTI's caravan is set to start its march demanding Khan's release from jail.

More than 2,000 shipping containers, some welded together with outward-facing spikes, have sealed off roads into the capital, and around 30,000 security personnel are being deployed in Attock alone.

Hospitals in Islamabad have even been told to prepare for a possible mass casualty incident.

Imran is sitting in a prison cell, but that’s not enough. The government still needs to build walls to keep him out.
