Culé putting my Barça opinions on record. Match reactions, strong takes and plenty to say about our rivals. I love this club, but I’ll always say what I see.
I love Barça enough to lose my head during the match and still tell you honestly what I saw afterwards.
Expect live reactions, proper football arguments and rivals getting exactly the respect they deserve.
Culés, follow along. Let's have some good banter here 💙❤️
Barça are linked with Lukeba and Inácio. I don't know to which extent these rumors are true.
I prefer Lukeba: quicker in space and suited to Flick’s high line next to Cubarsí. Inácio’s numbers seem to be good but Sporting fans seem relaxed about losing him, and I’m cautious about players from the Portuguese league in general. Lukeba feels the safer bet, but that's just my opinion.
You forget that the Club can pick players to leave, but it's up to the players if they want it. We've seen enough of these scenarios, and we don't know if Kounde was given a way out. But he was clearly vocal about staying.
I think we overestimate how hard it is to ask players in Barça or Madrid to leave. The sun and life in Catalonia drive players to stay, and I know many would think this is BS, but it's a massive factor for (some) players.
There is no way they have no clear path for a replacement, and potentially getting some good cash out of the in/out operation. Balde may do like many before and refuse to leave, and nothing will happen then.
Most of us had high expectations for him, and as much as I like the guy, his injuries and inconsistent (to no) progress are not in his favour.
We're kicking off the new season today. I really missed the chaos of La Liga and Barça just playing week-in & out. Elche already have already played their 1st game last week (1-1 away at Deportivo's home).
Flick seemed to have a good season overall, but he didn't have our World Cup players for half of it, and he still needs to manage their minutes.
Today, the first 20 minutes matter: control the tempo, protect central transitions, then make our quality count like always.
Geniunly excited 🤝🏼
I think he has a +20 goals season with Arsenal. It was a difficult first season and for me that's hardly a write-off.
I don't enjoy watching him play but he presses, attacks channels and carries through contact. My Barça doubt is his tight-space link play against set blocks, where our 9 lives most weeks.
On a loan with no obligation, I would think about it.
I'd be lying if I claimed to know enough about Tresoldi. But Lukeba and Salinas really interest me.
Lukeba brings recovery pace, aggressive defending and elite progression. Salinas is a versatile LB/LCB (so he gives us options), strong in duels, with real quality in his delivery.
But again, adapting to Barça and our style of play is not always a straightforward path.
@theredlucky@NealGardner_ Are you serious asking this question? The guy is almost recreating his whole brand around that goal he scored. Again I have no hate against the player and I wish him well with PSG, but we are used to his reactions and what he thinks of himself for years in Barça.
@FCBInformatiu@gerardromero Unless the club has clear options layed out lined up in ranked priorities, I feel like we're being a bit late. Crossing fingers to get a good opportunity in the market, but late transfer window signings become more expensive usually..
3/3 Atlético can reject every offer, and they have all the rights to do so, but keeping the contract is the easy part.
Now they must reintegrate a player who publicly asked to leave and repair the relationship with their supporters.
If he stays, this saga doesn't end when the transfer window closes. It moves into their dressing room.
1/3 The Julián Álvarez saga has reached the point where Atlético can claim victory, Barça can claim the player chose them, but no one actually looks clever.
I think we have confused the player's preference with leverage, and Atlético confused contractual leverage with control.
2/3 What I hate is that it seems like we treated Álvarez as the only acceptable No. 9 while negotiating with a domestic rival that had no sporting or financial reason to accept the move.
Wanting the right player is a solid idea, but starting the season without a credible Plan B is poor squad planning. I know the club and Deco still have a few days, but still. We should have wrapped this up already.
I hope so, but Barça cannot plan around it. The concern is his injuries sequence: recurring achilles trouble, a long muscle lay-off, calf problems an ACL tear, etc. Those absences keep interrupting his conditioning and match rhythm. Recovery is of course possible but I have big doubts about sustained availability.
