“Minimum Viable Product.” It’s a Web2ism that blossomed as Web3 pump and dump culture. MVP can be sold to anybody for anything in Web3, which is the point.
But, let’s replace MVP with “minimal sustainable contract.” Can that be the threshold for giving a shit about a project?
@gregisenberg But….we will have a flood of generic content of dubious copyright status that is an amalgam of existing IP. Goliath can multiply the productivity of his existing IP portfolio and distribution channels with AI. Goliath isn’t going anywhere.
@huobi@HodlMagoo Maybe fine art poses a kind of securities loophole: The value of one piece is determined by the value of the other pieces by an artist, despite not being formally issued as part of a “collection.”
@liron@a16z You’re missing a chart! The one you need is “Interest in the Internet Over Time.” It would track mentions of the internet in all print media. I suspect it spikes during the dotcom bubble, crashes, and grows until all print media went online.
@liron Dunno, seems simple and effective to me. Taylor Swift fans pay $100 for a fan club NFT, bonus media content, 1st pass at concert tix, etc. Scalpers pay $100 per fan club NFT but derive less benefit for the bonus content. Fans get more of what they want for less.
@punk6529 Checks apocalypse bingo card for “AI => quantum computing => crypto/tradfi hyper volatility.” 👍 Big question for me is will decentralization slow down the process toward quantum-resistance for the most decentralized projects.
