@traderepublic I have issues with my login (I don’t receive any sms but my account is also not connected to this mobile number) - anyway…
How should I get help, when the only way is to login and use the app????
It would be great if you would contact me.
@allenholub Mhh that’s again such a lurid tweet.
If you have a small team of 2 seniors and 2 juniors, of course everyone is contributing to the product by working on the code base.
Yes a main topic is helping the juniors but not how u mentioned it.
@allenholub The main point is that this change has no real customer benefit but we have to do this change (step wise) to handle and store incoming requests. If this is not a task or story - how would you handle this, is several teams are involved. You need a way to „coordinate and plan“ this
@allenholub Sorry that wasn’t 100% correct.
Some of our apps using Kafka and some of them have APIs for communication with other services. I’ve used the Kafka example because the old architecture where „collecting and storing data“ and now it was changed to more Kafka „natural way“.
@allenholub All the apps are using kafka and have APIs to communicate. If my old architecture is not able to handle the new load of habe to change it. I mean I got your point but in reality it’s not often that easy. But happy to exchange on such things.
@allenholub Refactoring here means we are able to handle more load, can sample data and have a improve of maintainability of what we learned the past month with the „old“ architecture.
@allenholub Mhhh if I have to refactor for example our way to store data and therefore I have to touch several services / apps, how should I plan this then? It has to be coordinated over different streams and a timeline of several weeks / sprints.

Nearly a week since ~400 companies can not use any @Atlassian products like JIRA, Confluence. I've talked to several impacted teams and they are upset how poorly Atlassian is handling the biggest outage these teams experienced.
A thread on what Atlassian needs to fix and why:
"I asked to expense a $300 noise canceling headset. Was rejected by HR."
- Companies view retention with a cost cutting mindset. Employees leave.
- Companies pay a premium in recruiters + higher salaries to hire replacements.
It's a lose-lose game.
Why do they do it?
