Just a friendly reminder that the third round of voting for the president of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) is underway! Don’t forget to cast your ballot before it’s too late. Voting dates: June 20–23. Your congregation's vote matters!
Congratulations to @USCG’s own @Astro_AndreD on his selection for the next Artemis III mission.
As America reaches for the moon, maritime dominance has never been more important. Thrilled to support NASA’s historic work in 2027 and celebrate Commander Douglas as he carries his legacy of Coast Guard service to the next frontier.
WATCH: HEROIC RESCUE.
An aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak rescued three adults and one child from an 18-foot vessel trapped on ice near Chefornak, Alaska.
The family was on a seal hunting expedition before being trapped on the ice for over 24 hours.
Thank you to these @USCG personnel for your selfless service and bravery in rescuing this family.
A farewell for a hero.
Yesterday, we gathered to honor the life and sacrifice of Aviation Survival Technician 2nd Class Tyler Jaggers. We remember not only his final act of courage, but his dedication as a mentor, leader, son and partner. A recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Jaggers’ commitment to his crew and selfless service will forever inspire us. While we mourn his passing, his legacy lives on in the lives he saved and the sacred trust he fulfilled – so others may live.
