@Scott_Macey1 Great to see! I also saw that the NSW Department of Education is opening hundreds of school grounds in the holidays. This is so everyone has an opportunity to be physically active and use the equipment located at schools.
@jeremy_smith7 A great resource to implement in the classroom. This can help our students understand food groups and what will fuel their bodies! Once they have this information, they can share it with family members and create a healthier environment.
@jesslc770 I completely agree with you! #SDG3 is a vital goal that needs to be addressed to allow individuals to make more informed decisions. It is important we also make our students aware of the world we are living in and take action to achieve greater well-being and health.
@Taleahsliwa00 I completely agree with this. 'R U OK' day should be every day, where we check in with students and each other. In my EDUC4750 project, I will complete a daily check-in with students to ensure they are feeling content and ready to learn.
@BenjaminCollet7 These are great! By using these affirmations, we can help a student be more accepting of themselves and enhance their well-being. It is important that a whole-school approach is adopted that focuses on encouraging students so they can feel a sense of belonging and accomplishment.
@Taleahsliwa00 This is such a great strategy to check in with our students and assess how they are feeling. It may be challenging for a student to explain their feelings, placing a paddle pop stick into the feeling holder can allow the teacher to have a conversation later and address needs.
@CJ_Education This is a great resource for all stages! It allows students to understand the importance of resilience and develop strategies to become resilient. This is a fantastic reminder for me to focus on implementing resilience learning in my project. This helps to target SDG#3.
@CJ_Education These are fantastic resources! The health and well-being goal addresses adequate nutrition. I will implement these resources into my project, where students will learn the importance of making a healthy choice and differentiating between sometimes and nutritious foods.
@CJ_Education I have also researched the framework and found valuable information. I will use their motto 'connect, succeed, and thrive' for my #educ4750 project.
The strategies you have detailed allow students to enhance their well-being as they are provided autonomy, choice, and engagement.
@MG_education11 This is a great resource to use in the classroom! I would use this resource to provide students with an overview of the Sustainable Development Goals. We would look further into SDG#3 and brainstorm how we can focus on our own health and wellbeing. Students can create a mindmap.
@BenjaminCollet7 Wow, this is fantastic and should be implemented in all schools. Physical activity is so important in developing individuals' health and well-being. Schools can provide students with physical activity lessons and mini workout sessions to engage and keep students active.
@BenjaminCollet7 This provides a great overview of #SDG3 and what the goal is trying to achieve. This resource can be used in the classroom to allow students to understand the goal! What an interesting statistic.
@CJ_Education I agree! I endeavor to use this video in the orientation phase of one of my lessons to introduce students to the SDG's. Students will then be able to pose their own questions and conduct research to respond.
The ‘Participate’ YouTube channel overviews all sustainable development goals. All videos provide a good resource for teaching and learning within the classroom. The link provided is a video resource for the health and wellbeing goal. #UoNTeach#educ4750 https://t.co/MMYNgBfLrE
@CJ_Education Yes, these books will definitely help students understand what they are learning and recognise how they are feeling. Do you have any other books you would recommend for teaching social and emotional learning?
Books can provide a powerful platform when teaching health and wellbeing to students. They can stimulate thinking and create a rich environment for learning. #UoNTeach#educ4750
@CJ_Education That's a great idea! I like your idea of focusing on all factors of well-being. This can cater for a diverse range of well-being needs. I think the students would also really enjoy creating the activity sheet.
A great resource from Action for Happiness!
This resource could be used in the classroom and individualised by every student. Students could design their own monthly active sheet. This can help students achieve a daily goal and improve overall health.

@CJ_Education The website is fantastic! When I require inspiration and ideas I will definitely recommend visiting this website. The resources have definitely made me more confident with content selection and delivery of content.
The student wellbeing hub provides rich and wonderful resources that can be utilised in our classrooms. The website provides a filter option where you can target specific topics and year levels. Check it out. #UoNTeach#educ4750#wellbeinghub
@CJ_Education A breathtaking statistic @CJ_Education. If a school has a newsletter that would be a great idea. Fundamentally, as primary teachers, we are influential role models and can provide students with the essential knowledge to prevent.
Approximately half of all Australians have health conditions that could be prevented (Department of Health, n.d.). Prevention is an ideal way to decrease disease and improve health. Let's provide everyone with the knowledge and resources to prevent. #UoNTeach#educ4750
World Health Day provided a platform for all things health. Food is so important for the development of overall good health. Food provides us with the fuel to perform at our best. #UoNTeach#educ4750#SDG3
