@JamesHow92 You are right, it can be extremely effective and I think it can often be neglected when it should be recognised more frequently to promote health eating and a healthy life style for our students!

Such a great idea! Having a calming corner within my classroom really benefitted me when teaching. It enabled my students to be able to move to their own space when required & regulate their feelings and emotions to better prepare themselves to learn. #SDG3#educ4750#UoNTeach
@Tonims85 It really is an amazing idea, I think it is so important that we as teachers find ways to integrated the indigenous culture within our school community in any way possible to be able celebrate the diversity and provide a sense of belonging to all of our students!
A Yarning Circle is a great area to implement within our schools & recognise the diversity of the school community! A Yarning Circle allows the students to speak freely without judgement & is considered a safe place to share stories and complete lessons. #SDG3#educ4750#UoNTeach

@jourdann___ Thank you Jourdan! I could not agree more, students being able to recognise and regulate their own feelings and emotions is a crucial part of a positive sense of wellbeing! I also plan on using Dr Seuss within my future lessons he provides some outstanding resources!
Understanding your own feelings is the first step to a positive wellbeing and 'My Many Colored Days' by Dr Seuss is a great book to use within the classroom to assist students with understanding and describing the feelings and emotions they have inside #SDG3#educ4750#UoNTeach
