My main hope for today is that Reeves gets a true hero's send off.
For me, the greatest player of my time as a fan. So many great moments, two promotions, a legend on and off the pitch.
This final season doesn't dilute his legacy, he gave everything until he couldn't any more.
Gutted to miss this one today, but extremely relieved I can enjoy my final Saturday in Asia without any final day stress.
Spent the Wigan game at a beach club, very anxious and antisocial until Hackford scored. Was then an unbelievable spot to celebrate survival
๐ฎ๐ถ Itโs been somewhat of a frustrating time of late for former #AFCW striker Ali Al-Hamadi, but heโs just helped his country Iraq to the World Cup finals with the opening goal in a 2-1 victory over Bolivia. https://t.co/ob8Ky9FAAC
Now that is a proper half of football. It's like the September version of us is back. Absolutely all over them. First to every ball.
Johnson imperious at the back winning everything. Browne terrifying their defence. Seriously good performances from all 11.
Don't think starting Bugiel solves all our problems, but IMO would give us much needed presence in the final third.
For what it's worth, record with/without him starting this season:
With Bugiel starting: P12 W6 D2 L4, 1.67 PPG
Without Bugiel starting: P15 W3 D3 L9, 0.80 PPG
Last 8 days:
Last Sunday: raced my first ever 10k at Regent's Park - 1st place with a time of 35:02 ๐
Yesterday: broke my Half Marathon PB by almost 7 minutes at Victoria Park - 78:36 and another 1st place ๐
Today - flying to Bangkok for a few months travelling SE Asia ๐
This is has been the primary issue throughout Jacksonโs tenure. We donโt create chances.
For three seasons itโs been the case that barring individual magic from the likes of Assal/Ali/Neufville - and brief hot periods before teams figure us out - we never look like scoring.
Hope Jackson doesn't blame the referee. Bishop has to do better but big (huge) issue is we never look like scoring. Last 6 home games vs Burton, Wigan, Mansfield, Stevenage, Exeter and Doncaster and managed 1 goal. Hard to see us staying up unless we find a way to create more.
@AFCWimbledon Diamond midfield with Ogs at right back. Quite like it on paper. Glad JJ is being proactive looking for solutions rather than sticking to plan A. Hippo back in could be key.
Please dons ๐๐
@thomasforth This is only relevant if you solely view football as an entertainment product or commodity - which it very much isn't, and it is absolutely not Fifa's mission to treat it as such.
Assuming all Pot 1 teams win their groups, possible KO route:
Ro32: 3rd-placed team
Ro16: Mexico
QF: Brazil/Norway
SF: Argentina/Portugal
F: Spain/France/Germany

I think?
Some away day. The game was a bit mad, then an unreal night out in Leeds until 5am
All trains from Leeds this morning cancelled, had to get to London via Manchester. Finally at Euston at 18:30 - 6 hrs late, and I find SWR trains are cancelled too. The shit we go through... ๐๐
The difference between Bugiel when he came on compared to Orsi was night and day. Should've started. Thought the formation change was a nice idea on paper that could've worked with different personnel.
No positives, poor from everyone today. Next week looking scary
This is the front two I've wanted to see since Stevens got injured though. Not convinced by Browne or Orsi. Hackford's looked so exciting and hopefully Omar's game should complement his nicely.
Strong side and great to see Hackford starting.
Might have liked to see Reeves get a rest. He's so essential that I don't think we can afford for him to not be at his best, we saw that last season.
Would love to see McCoy-Splatt get a go.
