Hello wonderful people, I've just started writing a blog about the LDU challenge I'll be doing in June. Please have a read! Love you all big much!

Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

@Spalders@EdConwaySky We could do, but it's expensive to do so, will require a lot of investment in new subsea infrastructure & ultimately won't belong to the UK as such, but to a private company and their shareholders.
So BP or Shell will benefit from it, but neither pay much tax in the UK.
@mike56200 Have you tried brake cleaner against paint or ink? Available in 5l tins, often with a pump bottle for free or cheap in any motor factors. Worked when my son wrote all over the doors of the in-laws flat...
@Spalders@EdConwaySky As someone who has worked in the extraction of oil & gas for 22 years, mainly in the N Sea:
Majority of UK sector hydrocarbons have been extracted, & what's left is expensive to extract with old infrastructure. Plus it's owned by private companies so will be sold at market rate.
@PeterDClack@davidevans442 Because when given a credible answer, you'll ignore, deflect and flat out lie about it. I'm assuming at least you're paid to spout these lies and twisted half truths?
@CepheusTalks@AVGirl4Life So 1 thing in that list I do know about as an offshore oil & gas worker is the line about "BP Spill & coverup."
That's complete bollocks, the rig was owned by Transocean, a US corp, the company that owned & operated the blow out preventor which failed was Haliburton. Not BP.
@AWalkersTale@fesshole I visited my cousin in 'borough after doing LEJoG and ask to go and see the transporter bridge, then walked the river to the New Bridge.
Both utterly magnificent!
I'd very happily visit again. :)
@fesshole I'm genuinely impressed at the many bots or weapons grade bellends this post had gathered in such short space of time.
At least Darwin will see to the antivax twats in due course...
@BBCiPlayer why are you putting the name of the medal winners as the title of each video segment? Please stop doing this, I want to enjoy the competition without knowing the result! #spoilers#beingsilly
@LidlGB Hello. So I've been back into the store on 05/02/26 and saw Julie again. I shower her our tweets and she had received no positive feedback because of this tweet. Is this a Lidl social media fault or Penryn management issue? Your staff really are brilliant :)
@LidlGB got in a pickle at the Falmouth store today getting my shopping in the right order to use a coupon. Your staff member Julie patiently helped me get everything sorted. She's brilliant, so thanks to her :)
Who believed that "if they only released the hostages"? Who believed in the ceasefire?
After killing 500+ people in about 3 months, Israel- armed and supported by the US - continues its genocide in Gaza undisturbed.
Don't let it become the new normal. Stand up against genocide!
@Number10cat My brother Anthony is in that list, it was unpleasant scrolling down through the many names to find him. It was also a very sad phonecall I had with my distressed mother this morning.
I deeply despise Donald with every atom of myself.
