@musserryan It is my strong belief that doing something that requires effort now, gives you a better background mood - whilst easy gratification gives you a worse background mood. Easy gratification does not equal happiness
@leights75 At this point there has only been one question for the past thirty minutes… “where’s the path?” The slope on the left would have accommodated a lovely gentle path 😆
@alanlmsca@ChimeWhistle Somehow it becomes true that those that understand the nuts and bolts of things, are never as influential as they should be. I’ve seen it in companies I’ve worked for and with first hand, and I’ve still no idea why or how the nuts and bolters got displaced
@MatMerc Is there a consideration for moving the terminus from Buxton to Chee Dale, and from Matlock to Bakewell? You still reduce traffic, and you preserve the trail. Then add an extra branch from Matlock to Heathersage. I think the overall benefit of this would be greater
@PickGS Behind the scenes they are cutting services. In their PR they are doing “great things”. I was in favor of nationalisation, but this feels very dishonest
There are one hour queues to reach the top of a hill 😭 I must walk in the wrong places, as I’m lucky sometimes to see another person all day 🫣 https://t.co/CrvIsJTPHw
Writeup added for the other section of the Pennine Way walked this week (from Hawes to Horton-in-Ribblesdale). Another great section and that's 10 of the 14 days done along this trail. Apologies for the segue into the importance of rail links up north 😅 https://t.co/hOaoHf2P8e
