@MarstonGareth@Captain_Deltic If only we had a rolling electrification scheme. Top priorities would obviously be Chippenham-Temple Meads-Parkway, MML up to Nottingham/Sheffield, Hope Valley and across to Donny.
@Tesco is it company policy for security guards to just stop people entering an express store but then allow their mate in after turning a bunch of people away?
@duke_nellington@pipterino Unfortunately Network Rail limits Saturday evening paths so that they can start getting ready for line closures through the night. So they’re the ones you’d need to persuade
@AndyBTravels@CrossCountryUK 5/9 Car IET’s would be perfect for the almost the entire XC operation. In an ideal world you’d have the 5 Cars on NOT-CDF & BHM-SST with 9 car running the rest.
@BrineHealth@CrossCountryUK Cross Country is in the state it’s in because the government won’t allow extra rolling stock. Had to fight tooth and nail for HST’s then again for the Avanti voyagers
@AndyJBall@Hrushworth I’d argue Stratford should exclusively be used for the Virgin offerings to Europe once/if they start. Keeps St Pancras from being more overcrowded past border control
@darbdarbly@every_station The platform isn’t owned by Network Rail or TFW, but by Stena Line, who permit it due to no other suitable safe smoking areas
@JGourd7@philatrail It was fundamentally flawed with buses blocking the road causing tailbacks and buses not being able to get out and loosing time. Witnessed it many times
@JGourd7@philatrail The shelters could have been designed better but the bus stops realistically did have to be moved. Far too chaotic where they were in busy periods.
