Why should kids be forced to learn native languages if they don’t want to - shouldn’t it be a choice which languages one wants to learn?
#Freedom#ThreeLanguageFormula#CBSE
In a major education reform, CBSE has announced that English will no longer be a compulsory subject from Class VI under the new three-language formula, starting from the academic year 2026–27.
As per the new policy aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students will be required to study three languages, but English will now be optional and treated as a foreign language choice. Students can choose from languages such as English, French or German.
The board also plans to introduce new textbooks for nine regional languages and promote Indian languages in schools. Education experts believe the move will help students focus more on their mother tongue and strengthen their understanding of regional languages.
Do you think making English optional is a good decision? Share your opinion in the comments.

Rating Upgrade :
Better Late than Never
But still poor standards prevail
Rupee Rating by definition has to be AAA as the GOI has ability to print money.
Dollar Rating should consider Net FX Debt of $ 571 billion (Gross Debt $ 736 billion ( 03/25) minus NRI deposits $ 165 billion (04/25) which normally gets rolled over) against FX reserves of $ 689 billion.
India is like a company which has more cash on balance sheet than net debt.
Since the beginning of civilisation over thousands of years India has a track record of zero default to foreigners.
India is a net exporter of capital. We have officially imported ~ 700 tonnes of gold annually in this century.
Smuggling and gold passing through green channel is additional.
We have spent more money on import of gold than the net FPI flows or FDI flows in this century.
