I'm not being racist when I say this should NOT be allowed in Canada unless there are rules.
1- ONLY biodegradable materials to be used that DO NOT harm the environment.
2- Permit MUST be obtained PRIOR to this occurring so if they use plastics and such, someone can be held accountable.
3- Ministry of Fisheries and Oceans to attend to observe their actions.
If the Liberals truly want to protect our environment and watersheds, there MUST be strong rules that go along with allowing this to happen.
If not, OUR rivers will end up looking like THEIR rivers.
That's a fact.
I cannot articulate my disgust over the fact that this horribly traumatised Canadian family cannot “qualify” for victim services, and are now bouncing between sleeping in the back of their car and couch surfing at the hospital. All while “asylum seekers” receive benefits Canadians don’t see at the best of times. Priorities!
@Tybernicus17@elonmusk I quit a couple times and deleted the account. I go through bouts of depression where I spend too much time here. But then I had a scare where a co-worker lost his clearance because of social media posts. So my posts now autodelete after a short time and I maintain anonymity.
I spent most of my career as a mechanic, later they called us technicians. But they also called us grease monkeys, dumb blue collar workers, wrenches, motorheads, exhaust sniffers and more. But with the skills I acquired being an automotive technician, I never once had to pay someone to repair any of my vehicles, never once had to pay for any home repairs, never had to pay for an electrician or plumber, built my own house, installed my own heating and air conditioning and more. We automotive technicians are not dumb grease monkeys! Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest
This woman is 25 years old
She has been driving her car for weeks, sweating and miserable because the air conditioning isn’t working
Finally she takes it to the dealership. They ask her if she’s hit the “AC Button”
She hasn’t, that was the problem
These people vote…
There is a real argument and need for some form of cognitive competency test for voting
Voter ignorance is widespread
Decades of research from political scientists like Bryan Caplan, Jason Brennan, and more have shown that the average voter has very low political knowledge. Many cannot name basic facts about government, economics or candidates
IQ and cognitive ability correlate with better outcomes
Higher IQ predicts better information processing, lower susceptibility to certain biases, and higher voter turnout. Studies show smarter people are more likely to vote and have more stable, informed opinions on average
Democracy as a high-stakes decision, allowing uninformed people to vote is likely devastating to our society
@apinea88le@Rvguy18@ctvottawa At one time water was included in the tax bill. Because you can't live in a city without water any more than you can't live without a road. And there was a time with TWICE a week garbage collection. Small truck, small cost, small fuel. Now they drive oil tanker size truckS.
He's wrong. It was a card (paper) box with a crimped on metal top and bottom.
But, just remember- there was a time before everything was shipped in plastic. That's what governments could tackle and leave the straws alone.
@bfgcracka@RobynUrback "Conservatives" think "Liberals" are wrong but "Liberals" think "Conservatives" are evil. Tremendous difference. In this recent Ontario podcast, Kathleen Wynne could not hide her contempt/anger/disgust for Ford, re: organised homeless encampments.
