@AssemblyGambia said the Assembly cannot be engaged in such a futile exercise, as to allow the Bill to proceed to Third Reading without its clauses.
Having gone through the Consideration Stage, the Women (Amendment) Bill has been deemed rejected. Despite the efforts and discussions put into this legislative proposal, the bill did not secure the necessary support and is therefore rejected.
Last month, we inaugurated the Dr. Saja Taal Inaugural Lecture Series on Democracy and Development. This annual lecture is aim to honour his incredible work and the many lives he touched through his invaluable teachings and guidance.
