He was the best player on the pitch vs Italy until he got taken off. Played decent in the champions league final in a side two kicks away from winning it.

It was also 1-0 until he got taken off vs Argentina so I don’t really understand “standing up” in that context.

Also check he was MOTM in both ties vs Real Madrid and in the champions league semi vs Atleti this season. Pretty big games to play well in

Some of the best midfielders in the epl (eg de bruyne, gerrard) were amazing dribblers as well as ball players so I disagree with that point

@Begos7777 @DKingTelegraph @TelegraphSport I agree his OOP and defensive work is his greatest strength as a midfielder, however - good short and long range passing, excellent driving runs, great ball striking and excellent set pieces. I don’t know maybe watch an Arsenal game 🤷🏻‍♂️

42% win percentage as a manager. 28% at Newcastle and 29% at Southampton. Awful at Liverpool bar an FA cup and sacked about everywhere else after a short stint.
