Every crash you hear is a body hitting the ground from someone in the World Trade Center whose best option was to jump. Many of the firefighters you see in this clip did not survive the next few hours, including the chaplain.
I don’t care about your suicidal empathy towards Islam. I don’t care about your stupid trade war. This is an 8-hour drive from Toronto. These are our people, our brothers and sisters.
Call 9/11 what it was.
Happy birthday to Jacques Demers, the last coach to win a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens in 1993. He turned 82 today. Gazette file photo by Allen McInnis @AllenMcInnis

The last full day. Icons of New York and symbols of ambition and strength that stood tall against the skyline before everything changed forever.
Love the passion by some. Love the continued support. But this is the reality:
Since 1976 Grey Cup win through week 12 of 2026:
Rough Riders 121-233-4
Renegades 23-49
Redblacks 68-134-3
TOTAL: 212-416-7 (.338%)
You can’t dump on fed up Ottawa CFL fans. They’ve earned it.
This is probably for the best, viewed in the larger context -- this wasn't the deal, but just a deal, the primer for further concessions to come. It's a mistake to call this a negotiation. It's basically just extortion: do what we say or we'll hurt you real bad. Canada has to show it is uncoercible, which means demonstrating a willingness to endure pain.

Unbelievable line from CP24's @AndrewCP24—the man is an absolute legend for this!
Bob Rae on the Gordie Howe bridge deal: "It's not about politics, it's about money -- which is all important for the president. And it's about him showing who's boss, which is his modus operandi. That's how he operates. He operates on the basis of trying to show that there's only one top dog and it's him."
This is eminently fair by Patrick. And the reason it’s fair — and just speaking for me — is that this show has a history of treating guests and listeners like adults.
It’s a sports radio show that has shown journalistic intent and query over a long period of time.
I’m sure the league wants the ASG to be the first public Q&A for Cathy Engelbert after a long stretch. Understandable. But this is a forum that would be fair and doesn’t have a history of performative WNBA takes. You could have used it as a test run for the ASG.
Terrific news!
Ottawa Press and Publishing is offering any two of its mystery novels for just $30. This is a great chance to snap up some great books by Ottawa authors, including my novels A Life of Bliss and Norman's Conquest. Check out their website: https://t.co/CagY6dDAZe
The Onion is taking over InfoWars.
After Alex Jones lost a $1.4B Sandy Hook defamation lawsuit, The Onion’s Tim Heidecker moved to acquire the brand and relaunch it as a comedy platform, with proceeds going to the Sandy Hook families.
The new InfoWars is set to debut July 2, even as a Texas appeals court has paused the sale. Heidecker says he’s pushing ahead anyway: “This is happening,” he tells Variety. “Give it to us.”
Heidecker also teased what InfoWars’ future will look like: “We’re taking all our shots at Alex and that world this summer. Then we can cleanse ourselves of that, and in the fall, we can rebrand and not be banging the drum on the conspiracy world so much, and just opening it up to changing the meaning of the word InfoWars.”

I was having dinner outdoors tonight on Bloor St and guys kept walking by wearing Kawhi Leonard Raptors jerseys. And all anybody wanted to talk about tonight was Kawhi.
