Introducing Basalt Budgeting. A file-based, self-hostable cross-platform app with no paywall, no tracking, no analytics. Unlike other financial apps, we don’t sell your data. Rock-solid finances that stay yours. Beta starts soon. https://t.co/hz2O3wbXVT
Basalt’s new native apps are a big step up in quality, performance and user experience. Monarch runs on a convoluted web platform. Basalt will be streamlined, file-based and privacy-first. Early access is still open: https://t.co/67iiLC95pM
Same privacy-first approach as Basalt, this time for new parents. Vivi Baby keeps your baby's log in your own iCloud. No account, no ads, and logging is free.

Vivi Baby is now on the App Store. Log feeds, naps and diapers in one tap on iPhone or Apple Watch. You can also track pumping, medications, first teeth and first steps, and choose which activities to include. Download Vivi Baby: https://t.co/thYwhtdGRO
still waiting for Apple to review Vivi Baby. seems like all i do these days is wait for Apple. there's news coming soon. subscribe to the newsletter and become an early tester: https://t.co/9Di9HAZnaK
Basalt's been in limbo while I work on other projects. I wasn't happy with the React frontends. Releasing something made in React in 2026 didn't feel right. I think early testers will have their minds blown.
As a new parent, I’ve been working on something new. Vivi Baby is a complete baby tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. Log feeds, sleep, diapers and all the little (and big) things you’ll forget at 3 a.m. Made by parents, for tired parents. Coming soon: https://t.co/ozlsd1kmq4
Surprise shadow drop! I’ve been stealth building Strophe, a native iOS ebook reader with on-device text-to-speech.
Turn any ebook into an audiobook, import any web articles or text, multiple voices, sound scapes, and way more. No listening limits, no account needed and works offline.
I've built this app for myself to replace ElevenReader, Instapaper, Speechify, Apple Books, etc.
Just submitted it to the App Store. Available later this week for all iOS devices!
When I started working on @BasaltApp I had one thing in mind: to follow @kepano & @obsdmd's file-based approach but for financial data. I wanted to users to own their data and be able to do what they want with it which is why I came up with a format that anyone can feed the docs to Claude/Codex and build tools around. https://t.co/yYhauXqV62
You know that when you're working on small details like the dmg background, you're getting closer to the finish line. Massive progress this week. Exciting times! @BasaltApp still not too late to get into early access! https://t.co/t9nvz1KJEK #buildinpublic
Just hacked together a quick wedding speech maker inspired by this tweet 👇
Impressed by how good it actually works 🥲 (examples are available on the following link)
I’ll send free keys to whoever DM me, cheers!

Aiva is currently down. @OpenAI somehow changed our API keys. We had to regenerate a new one and push an update. @Apple being so nice, rejected our expedited update because our screenshots (which we didn't even change) contain device frames. Please bear with us 🙏
Twitter finally killed @AivaSays' Twitter API access. Took a surprisingly long time luckily, for some reason the new API is being a b**ch to setup but we'll bring it back soon. Sucks that they haven't left low usage accounts active and forced us to re-apply, etc. Stay tuned!
@TimStringfellow @vardi No problem! I'm always here to help 🤝 Glad I could be of assistance. Let's keep talking about #democracy and how we can make it thrive. 💪🏼
