@unayosimi I think itโs easy for people to point and call them bad for turning down a physical and emotional burden that they themselves donโt have to take on. Itโs also easy to say that a child with a disability should be born to live a harder life because they themselves wont live it.
@mmaonpoint Iโd argue yes and not solely because of longevity but the fact that heโs still a threat + career accolades. Weโve seen better fighters with higher peaks fade much faster and fail to compete at the level Jim miller has been able to maintain at this point in his career
@ateotbray Thatโs a crazy reach for sure, Chiwetel Ejiofor did an amazing job. So much good discourse over the movies themes or interpretations of it going on rn and to watch it and come away with Backrooms is a racist film is wild
@_CharlesPreston This type of thinking is what closes more of the few open doors for black actors to play more complex protagonists/antagonists in films.
@trizzfilm This type of thinking from those two in the picture is insanely performative. Movie also had a white guy ignore his Asian girlfriend and they died for it but I havenโt seen anyone write think pieces on white and Asian race relations because itโs a non sequitur ๐ญ
@BHills_03 Same, I remember thinking oh thatโs somethingโs den as soon as he looked around. It just had a way different feeling, the piles to me looked somewhat sorted out and not random placements like all the other rooms
