I think it's time that we seriously have to ask if Austin Wells is from the Bizarro world. The number of times that he swings and misses at what would be ball four, while staring at strike three, is remarkable.
I say this as a lifelong bleeding heart liberal who has a certification in teaching students with special needs and whose parents both worked with developmentally disabled clients all their adult lives. But Anthony Volpe may be retarded.
@Maxwell1995Vjjo You can only be charged a run for runners that you let on base...most baseball fans learn this when they're 5. King was removed after allowing 2 runners to reach. When they later scored, they were charged to him.
@_JohnnyVTV@MLB If the replays showed that had the 1B held onto the ball it would have been an out, then it is an obvious error on the 1B, and no official scorer would score it any other way. If the throw was bad (bounced, pulled the 1B off the bag) then it would be an obvious hit.
@DanClarkSports Tell me you never played ball without telling me. 0% of that is Jazz's fault. As a 2B with a very shallow pop fly like that, you go back on the ball until you are called off by the OF. Jasson never called him off, which is mindboggling for an MLB outfielder. 100% Martian's fault.
The Yankees play these guys like Volpe and Dominguez who have no business being in the major leagues at this point. Dominguez never called for that ball, and now Jazz is injured because the Yankees brass are too arrogant to admit they were wrong about their prospects.
@kroghma7 The truth is that the "chud" is making some good points in a vacuum, but he doesn't understand the manager, especially in today's game, has to manage individuals and be as much a psychologist as an x's and o's guy. When Judge and Stanton come back things will be a lot clearer.
