saw digger the other night and can’t stop thinking about it. i loved it and hated it all the same. but how much i love, or hate it, is entirely dependent on how pessimistic i am feeling about the world on any given day. so i can’t land on a rating. but it is deeply cruel movie. evil. mean-spirited. misanthropic. but also unflinchingly honest. i left the theater feeling electrified, bored, horrified, and humored. i agree with all of criticisms and plenty of the defenses. an incredibly jarring experience!
