@LeeKuanYimby I was unemployed at 22 for a few months after graduation and it was the most embarrassing time in my life. I wouldn’t show my face in public during that time. Thankfully I found a job out of state after a few months.
She on the other hand has no shame despite being 32.
@jimiuorio@jmhorp I understand your sentiment and agree that’s fair. However, if it is politically advantageous in 2060 to not pay us the benefits we paid into, we will be screwed. If we are paid, it’s just the worst ROI ever if we die at our life expectancy.
@jmhorp@jimiuorio Do you expect people born 2020-2050 to vote against paying social security taxes to fund our retirement benefits? Our 6.2% tax (alongside our employer’s) won’t be saved for us, it’s already gone.
@kay_enne@AzorTheReturn@DarializaforNY You are weirdly selective. You just call out the people you hate and call them colonizers.
The Comanche got their land through conquest of smaller tribes. The Aztecs were absolutely brutal to those they conquered. You just don’t care because all natives must be the same to you.
Just like we are not at fault for the sins of our ancestors, we are also not directly responsible for their achievements.
You can't claim credit for someone else's achievements on the basis of "race". That's also a pretty lame and loser mentality.
@funder “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury.”
-Ben Franklin
@ModerateBetsy@s_webber It’s exaggeration for effect.
Glad you didn’t wear a mask in the car alone. It would be incredibly uncomfortable for no reason.
I’d say the same about wearing a mask in a restaurant while walking to your table then taking it off. Complete theatre.
