@FightFireWithF4@Pirat_Nation they shouldn't be doing that either, the PARENTS shouldn't be letting their children have such unrestricted access to the internet.
@shieltar@AgoristN they shouldn't be able to just search your car nor say how you maintain your vehicle. how you CONDUCT yourself on the government owned roads is a different story (yes, driving dangerously, speeding, texting, poor vehicle condition and drunk driving is poor conduct)
@LullabyLorelai@Elvick there's a LOT to judge Nintendo for, a LOT to bash nintendo for. Don't be a fan boy and admit when shit is shit. and i still think 50% increase for the Steam Deck is INSANE!
@LullabyLorelai@Elvick secondly, they increased the price of the FUCKING SWITCH ONE AFTER RELEASING THE SWITCH TWO and also increase prices WELL before ANY impact on anything. Not to mention 80-90 FOR A GAME is insane.
@wilsonbosc0@PlDarkwolf they can A. give us the code to make our own servers or B. Figure it out themselves sense we figured this shit out WAY earlier. like games with online functions still working after the game was dead was figured out decades ago.
@darkfang1989@davidtabernerom in order for a bill to pass you need to be somewhat reasonable. the government doesn't like heavy handed Bills to pass. so being somewhat reasonable is what's needed.
@Tourettes97 it's called Compromises my dude. in order to get a bill passed you need to throw those who are effected a bone. and it only effect future games.
@JorgeSakar@TheClubVixen regulation happens when corporations don't regulate themselves. ESA (who ARE the industry) have stated they're ok with games dying and have no intention on games being playable long after the servers die. We know it's intentional, we had this shit figured out years ago.
@TheClubVixen@Animemaster51@keinzoumi my dude, it's MORE than enough time. You're clearly not a dev either and MANY people who aren't devs where able to revive servers of dead games fairly quickly after they died. we HAD THIS SHIT FIGURED OUT YEARS AGO and now it's suddenly black magic?? yeah no, that's cope.
@TheClubVixen@ThomasH64824951@The73MPL4R Secondly, steam would actually be shooting themselves in the head if they basically abandon the AAA gaming scene. cause, by putting in these rules, AAA would just leave in droves. Add on the fact AAA studios are looking for any reason to leave steam in the dust.
@TheClubVixen@ThomasH64824951@The73MPL4R the ESA is clearly alright with how games are being treated by the industry as a whole right now. Regulation comes in when corporations refuse to do so. The reason the ESRB was created IN THE FIRST PLACE was because the Government said "either you regulate yourself or we will"
@Hungery_Proot@MarshyVRC 1, there are options to choose that don't require you to drill holes in your house.
2, i know for a fact it's more like 3 months and that's MORE than enough time.
3. you DON'T need to have it run 24/7, Cause Insulation WORKS BOTH WAYS. if you do, your house ISN'T Insulated.
@MarshyVRC@LamiaVore 3 months would be 25% of the year. 4 months would be 33%. seems to me you guys are trying every excuse you can think of to NOT live comfortably you masochist
@MarshyVRC@Cocochipscookie that's LITERALLY not how Insulation works. Insulation slows the heat transference between two extremes. so if you actually where in a COLD FUCKING HOUSE during summer and was PROPERLY INSULATED it should take a bit before the heat started to get unbearable
@MarshyVRC@Cocochipscookie How does your houses being built prevent you from using a STANDING ac. they make AC's now that don't need to be hanging out a window or Installed by making a hole in your home OR installing a dedicated outside unit that is connected to your duct work.
