@Cade_XR@RogonUsaryis We are a framework so our testing app on steam is just for testing stuff with our community but the goal is people build apps on top of it. Gotta love mit
@RayOceano@LumiiVRC@ChilloutVR It's a can of worms. get the good with the bad. Things change I miss my early days in VRchat but I also don't miss other aspects and the same can be said for a lot of things
@AUT0M4T1C_JACK@Zehnokra yer its just the regular client not running the graphical part per client with fake audio, still getting and sending all the same stuff aswell as a little bit of code that randomly moves the player by the same way a normal player does
@thedowd@MaraRizer We had a few quests survive about to the 500ish mark all running the same visuals as the PC just with less transparency enabled. Q3 still surprises me
@wolfy527 I can't speak to what VRChat does, but I'm sure they have done their best. A lot of smart people work at VRChat. Basis runs as well as it does from a lot of trial and error of what works performance-wise, we are down to break compatibility for more frames
@wolfy527 Ik locally is super quick, but yer syncing a lot of players eats bandwidth, so we have Server Side Reduction, Client Side Reduction & Network Data LOD.
