@Somethingvauge_@KILLTOPARTY Sexual attraction isn't "deeper" than friendship - it's just different.
OP values the friendship, and doesn't want to jeopardize that - I respect that.
@Chaelor@EmmeeeI@KILLTOPARTY Not repressed, just values the friendship more, and doesn't want to feel like he has betrayed her trust.
Men are on the whole rubbish so a MF friendship is a rare valuable thing.
@Thermaltake_UK_ I think the Lian Li Edge design is a better solution to making cables easier to connect.
This just looks over-complicated, and adds a point of failure, for little gain.
@Heaney555 IMHO The best VR games are those that couldn't practically exist without VR, and I Am Cat is a perfect example of that.
Why bear the friction of VR for a game you could just play on a monitor.
I happily play indie games on my powerful PC with even simpler graphics than this π€·
@ryrypk@evevrcx The original plan was that EOZ Immersive Gloves would bundle DiverX MagentraX for controls, but these were not provided to early testers
Since then EOZ seem to be stepping back from that a bit
I think they are DOA without buttons+joystick, but fantastic if they can include some
@Oxford_Life@Chris_arnade The not-tiny UK stores have sauce dispenser pumps, and little paper cups you can fill with sauce if you want to take it back to your table.
A pump for ketchup, and another for some kind of BBQ sauce.
@RetroSpaceGame If it's not a rogue-like, I want to be able to save-and-load at will, and that save to include your position.
Games that only save your mission progress, and put you back to some default spawn location - like GTA - annoy me.
@cavemanjim Urinals, in conjunction with doorless entry to the area, and motion activated taps+dyers have a hygiene advantage over stalls, as no contact is required with any surfaces.
@haganknowsbest I know when my prostate is hit because it's a half pleasure, half discomfort kinda thing that makes you feel like you need a piss.
Somewhere deeper is something better, that is all pleasure, and is kinda overwhelming.
Lose the power of speech kinda deal.
@rectal_rentals@Jd_VRC It has the standard capacitive touch on the buttons, a la touch controllers.
It just doesn't have the ability to detect ring finger and pinky.
I feel like if you actually want all-finger tracking, then gloves (e.g. upcoming EOZ Immersive Gloves) are the way to go.
@shinyflvres@Jd_VRC It's likely due to poor economies of scale - it's a pretty niche product.
Ultimately there aren't really any viable alternatives.
Every Lighthouse tracked controller seems to have some fatal flaw for some reason.
@rectal_rentals@Jd_VRC Knuckles are long out of production, are notorious for having durability issues (trigger + stick drift), and some people complain about the lack of a grip button in the context of games - with capacitive touch you can unintentionally drop things.
@Jd_VRC I'm v.happy with them.
I refused to consider Knuckles due to thier poor rep for durability.
Got cheap Swords first as a stop-gap, but lack of buttons sucks.
GripVR works great.
Unfortunately expensive due to economies of scale/niche product probably, but no alternatives π€·
@rodifex@fish_groyper I watched an interesting video on this recently
https://t.co/U8ryQ4ITio
TL;DR Gut Bacteria breaks down the lactose for them.
I lost my lactose loving gut flora when I was flooded with antibiotics for appendicitis, and I can't handle it as well now.
@tomo643_VRC It's hard to demonstrate it properly.
In most of the demonstrations, the HMD the person is wearing is doing all the heavy lifting, which makes it pretty disengeous.
In this video, with the beacon stationary and super close, this is an absolute best case scenario for the tech.
@00_HeL@kittynVR@RomanGun1111 Lighthouse - an off-the-shelf tracking solution - has allowed small-medium companies to bring HMDs to market.
With Lighthouse dying, we need a replacement.
Fluxpose just reinforces the dominance of the "big boys" who have the resources to develop SLAM.
@00_HeL@kittynVR@RomanGun1111 It can only track within 1.7M of the Beacon.
To work around that limitation, you wear the beacon at the waist, but that means it moves when you do, and tracking is relative to your waist rather than a fixed point.
Head is only tracked so it can use HMD to provide actual position.
@Lortet_VRC Only within 1.7M of that beacon though.
Fundamentally flawed as a tracking technology.
Only practical if you are wearing HMD is tracked by some other, better method that it can piggy-back off.
