My current project is studying autophagy in plants to understand the mechanism of how different genotypes and mutations affecting autophagy expression respond to environmental stressors. Outside of the lab I enjoy drawing, crocheting, and watching shows in my free time.

New paper from former postdoc Yan Bao published in Science Advances. Yan is now faculty at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He shows that the autophagy regulator COST1 controls ER morphology via RHD3.

New article out in Nucleic Acids Research from our long term collaboration with the MacIntosh lab. We develop a new assay to measure RNA transport into vacuoles and show that the RNA helicase SKI2 is required for transport. The work was led by former PhD student Brice Floyd.
