Alexa Canady was the first black female neurosurgeon. Becoming a neurosurgeon in itself is inspiring and a feat of strength. To do it as a black woman back in the 80s is very inspiring. She overcame more than almost any person in her field before her #sociologytheory#soc22019

Employer based health insurance deductibles are skyrocketing in comparison to worker wages. This not being talked about enough. The public needs to bring attention to this immediately #UniversalHealthCoverage@SociologyTheory

The disadvantages of not being able to obtain insurance is becoming a crisis throughout the United States. There is no current solution being created in the government, however there are ways to reform it. Creating a universal system with the option of private (1)
The celebration of Labor Day currently does not reflect the true meaning of its origin. People are not uplifting the same rules that were regulated in the past. Walmart and other big companies still have bad working conditions and unreasonable working hours. @SociologyTheory
This Labor Day, let’s remember unions won Americans our weekends, eight-hour work days and a minimum wage.
We can't celebrate #LaborDay without thanking the labor movement and its heroes for their fight to protect hardworking families.
