#BatWeek is an annual celebration to raise awareness about the critical roles bats play in maintaining healthy ecosystems around the world. DYK There are 16 species of bats on BLM-administered public lands in Wyoming, 12 of which are common.
A number of the preserves are popular roosting spots for bats, particularly those close to water. While you can't see them at night when they come out to play — because the preserves close at sunset — they often can be seen during the day hanging from above. #BatWeek
