There is hardly any fraud in the disability benefits system.
In response to my parliamentary questions, the DWP says just 0.2% of personal independence payment (PIP) spending is due to fraud.
Today I called for an end to the scapegoating of disabled people on benefits.
Disability Rights UK have issued a statement this afternoon, a response to the Chancellor Jeremy Hunts announcement on proposed benefit changes.
The dangerous language issued deserves a truthful response. Please share. #benefits#JeremyHunt
@PD39dontpanic The list needs updating. People with conditions often requiring multiple prescriptions , such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinsons have to pay and someone with eg. a straightforward under active thyroid does not pay .
@trafficscotland@SWTrunkRoads Yet another person has been killed in the same spot crossing the road by the Rowan Tree. Why has nothing been done at this accident black spot. 60mph limit!!! Reduce it! Put a crossing there!
@GavinGiovannoni You have done so much for the MS community and it has been really appreciated by so many of us. I fully understand you need to prioritise your own needs and wish you all the best.
Sign the MS Society's open letter, calling for support and funding for MS and neurology services! Services have been stretched, underfunded and overlooked for years – this can’t continue. #NeurologyNow https://t.co/D8mdwqUF2V
