@RedWingDiehards While I understand the frustration as a fan, the truth is as of 04/19/2019 the redwings had zero prospects that could be called NHL players the roster had 3 top 6 players, 2 defensemen. And massive dead money on books. I would like to see anyone build a team from that.
@RyanHanaWWP Is it possible that the reason he hasn’t expanded the list is he’s having second thoughts? I don’t think there’s a way to come back from this and I’m currently in the camp of trading him for an outstanding winger and futures and hoping that a young guy can step up at center.
@AdmanEvren@HeleneStJames He would be the best center on 15 of the 32 teams that is the reality. Edm has two of the best in nhl but most of the time they are on same line. Tate and Bennett are not better centers than Larkin. The rest of the list are a better option at center in most situations
@JarradBruessel@DetroitRedWings@CampingWorld The passion has distorted the reality if you look deeper you will see that this is not true. AL and Cossa were not going to move this team forward you drat assets to use to make team better which is a fluid thing. If you want to say wings hold on to assets to long I agree.
@BizNasty2point0 There isn’t a gm out there that could have turned the wings around any faster he started with the worst team in redwing history the worst prospect pool in the league and without a top 3 pick has managed to get improvement each year. The leafs had top shelf guys and no cups
@LGRWProspects@DimFilipovic@seanshapiro@MatiszJohn He has never played this many games in a season let alone rolled out against this level of talent. He has actually learned to adjust gap depending on position he doesn’t just throw the puck up the boards as much as before he would have benefited from time in the AHL 1/2 season.
@RyanHanaWWP@WingedWheelPod Problem was he became hyper focused on singular parts of the game one game he would try being physical next holding onto the puck then forechecking then front net never a combination that made you notice him and he’s a big guy not to notice.
@RyanHanaWWP@WingedWheelPod This is a year that you can say go big game hunting however is it really time for the big swing. I feel that a solid defensemen addition is the target. And if there is a opportunity to get Trocheck
Go for that. The cost is approaching more than the benefit.
@Fitzzy73@LGRWProspects 1 FA have to agree to sign. 2 he was left a roster that was a last place team and only one player remains from. 3 he had to build a team from scratch with nothing in the prospect pool and had to get enough assets to make good trades.
@BradKrysko He is a known dive guy has been since pee wee my daughter played against him for a couple years he was great with the puck but would go down with the draft from the ac
@RyanHanaWWP What happened to slashing calls? You could tell watching him go to the bench he was going to concussion protocol also stick looked broken laying on the ice.
