When I was a kid… My Grandpa would get me the latest NCAA football game whenever it dropped and was always excited to play the game with me and my brother especially in Dynasty… When he passed away 3 months before the return of College Football on Consoles we dedicated CFB 25 to him and would live on to play the other titles in the series in his memory

My Grandpa would be sick to his stomach to see how the game he used to connect with his grandsons is being used to nickel and dime the consumer

imagine being 8 years old and loading up College Football 27 to play out a career in Road to Glory

you put in on Freshman difficulty, because you are EIGHT, and you are punished with less XP gains than people who play on Heisman

I find it so interesting in old EA titles, as you raise the difficutly in Road to Glory, it would give you less and less XP to increase the challenge

Now they've decided you'll get less XP for wanting to play on an easier difficulty, or without wear and tear on, at the same time they introduce microtransactions to the mode. Coincidence? #CFBPlayDontPay

EA’s response misses the mark once again. It is clear they will not budge from microtransactions in RTG and dynasty. Changing the names of the slider settings won’t change the fact the MTX are completely ridiculous in dynasty.

They are also saying they won’t bring back XP sliders in RTG. Of course because you need to be incentivized to spend money.

If you think the microtransactions aren’t a big deal right now I need you to understand the design of CFB games will fundamentally change forever to get more and more out of the consumer. Modes will get worse and more grindy so you spend more. Features will be taken away to make room for this stuff. We have evidence all across the gaming world. These design choices inside College Football 27 are really hard to ignore due to EA's recent decisions

If I start a Road to Glory as a 5-Star Pure Runner QB in CFB 27, my overall is only a 73. In CFB 26 with the same build, my overall would start as a 80

You would also have some physical abilities already unlocked and upgraded in CFB 26 as a higher rated recruit, but even as a 5-star in 27, I'm starting college with 0

The microtransactions are out of order for me and I'm trying to figure out why they're sorted this way

Dynasty defaults to Online now, instead of Offline like it did on CFB 26. It only gives you reasons to select Online, which is the one with micro transactions

When you double down on your stance, and lose the trust you have built within the community, the smaller things that I would never question are seen in a much different light. Do what's right. #CFBPlayDontPay

🚨 NEWS: Major CFB creators, including Bordeaux and MMG, are boycotting CFB 27 and refusing to play until EA changes its new microtransaction system, with #CFBPlayDontPay gaining traction across the community.

Here’s what happened:

In previous games, players could adjust XP settings to progress faster in single-player modes.

In CFB 27, EA removed those options, and now players can pay real money to speed up progression instead. Fully upgrading a Dynasty coach immediately can reportedly cost $100 more than the price of the game itself.
