It's a NorCal D-1 Quarterfinal that is worthy of a regional final as De La Salle hosts Saint Francis in the CIF playoffs today.
Saint Francis, ranked #12 in state by @CalHiSports, was #5 in state before the CCS playoffs & impressively won the WCAL with a 13-1 record.
De La Salle, ranked #3 in the state & 22-1 on the field, is coming off a repeat NCS D-1 crown and its 8th in the last 9 playoffs.
This is the 5th year of the CIF Regional Championships with the Spartans winning 3 of the first 4, including the first one in 2022, when De La Salle rallied for 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th for a 7-6 win over the Lancers.
At 4pm, the NCS title game features top-seed De La Salle versus Granada. These two schools have won the last 8 NCS championships, with the Spartans winning 7 and the Mats lone NCS title coming in a epic 2-day, 14-inning 1-0 affair two years ago against DLS.
Both these teams have had close calls in the NCS playoffs. Granada has one walk-off win plus two 2-run victories while the Spartans have won each NCS playoff game by a single run, including one walk-off.
This is the 8th time in the last 13 playoffs the NCS Division I championship is an all-EBAL final.

At 12pm, Northgate looks for its first ever NCS Baseball title against Alameda, going for its 8th NCS title and 3rd under coach Ken Arnerich. Northgate coach Lou Cesario is also going for his third NCS title after winning two at Amador Valley.
Northgate is coming off two straight NCS walkoff wins while 12-seeded Alameda is averaging an impressive 11.3 runs in their three playoff wins.
