On Wednesday, 3rd April 2024, @AfricaCDC donated a consignment of 70 Cold Chain equipment, accessories and other health products to the Ministry of Health, Republic of #Liberia. Equipment includes, refrigerators, solar-powered cold boxes, vaccine carriers, and temperature monitors. This handover is through the @AfricaCDC Saving Lives and Livelihood initiative in partnership with the @MastercardFdn.
Reaching every child at the last mile with the requisite childhood vaccine remains a critical part of improving health care status and providing unhindered access to medical care. This set of equipment will massively boost Liberia’s National Immunization Program and further facilitate effective childhood vaccination in local districts across the country.
The #AfricanSupplyChainForum is bringing together global vaccine manufacturers and material suppliers to tackle the complexities of vaccine manufacturing.
Did you know that between 50-100 different input materials are needed for just one vaccine? #NewPublicHealthOrder#PAVM, #CEPIVaccines, #supplychains #logistics #CMILT

congratulated madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf @MaEllenSirleaf, of #Liberia, on her well-deserved REACH award @RLMglobalhealth at #COP28 ! Keep winning and making the Continent proud.
I congratulated H.E. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf @MaEllenSirleaf, former President of #Liberia, on her well-deserved REACH award @RLMglobalhealth at #COP28! Her phenomenal leadership in the #COVID19 response and advocacy for resilient primary healthcare systems, backed by community health workers, earned her this recognition. H.E. emphasized the vital role of these workers in protecting communities and strengthening healthcare systems across the continent. A true inspiration!
At @AfricaCDC we recognize that we cannot overcome the health challenges alone, which is why respectful and action-oriented partnerships are crucial. As a continent, we rely on one another, as well as the support of our international partners and embrace multilateralism to achieve global health security. This was my key message at the Council on foreign relations @CFR_org symposium. It was one of the first high-level events of the Department’s Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy #GHSD following its launch on August 1, 2023. #NewPublicHealthOrder
It’s been an incredible two years so far as DG @NCDCgov. It has been great privilege to be called upon and given the opportunity to serve my country.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to build on the good work started by Prof. Abdulsalami Nasidi, and propelled by @Chikwe_I.
During my mission in Nigeria, I met with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Muhammad Ali Pate @muhammadpate. I commended his outstanding leadership in public health. Dr. Pate expressed his gratitude for @AfricaCDC's support to #Nigeria and reaffirmed the country's commitment to collaborating with @AfricaCDC to realize the vision of a healthier, safer, and more prosperous Africa. #NewPublicHealthOrder
