Statement by the Tigray Interim Administration (IRA) on Current Developments

It's a well-known fact that following the split of the TPLF leadership into two camps, one of the two had conducted an illegal party congress. Since its illegal congress, this clique has been making a mockery of law and order in Tigray, determined to spread anarchy in Tigray and create popular apprehension.

This faction has also been busy eroding the unity of the people of Tigray and belittling and smearing our people. It is also engaged in a nonstop smear campaign against the IRA leadership as well as that of the security forces. Claiming on the one hand that "the security forces are with us," and on the other hand that "we have an understanding with the federal government," this faction has been preoccupied with confusing our people.

Now this faction has proclaimed an official putsch to put into practice the blustering chest-thumping that it has displayed in various forums. Having mistaken the IRA's patience so as to avoid eroding the unity of the people of Tigray for weakness, today, October 7, 2024, this faction officially declared its unwavering desire to make Tigray lawless. It has undertaken this irresponsible step deliberately to engineer instability and crisis, not because the processes of how and when governmental powers can be secured are lost on it. Above all else, choosing this chest-thumping at a time when efforts towards restoring Tigray's territorial integrity are bearing fruits makes it clear that this faction's sole interest is holding onto power, not tending to our people's needs and associations.

The Tigray Interim Administration cannot and will not tolerate such reckless actions. Taking into account the fact that this faction had mistaken the IRA's prior efforts to preserve our people's unity for weakness, the IRA will take legal actions against this destructive faction's leadership. We would like to make it clear to our people that this faction and its leadership will assume sole responsibility for any and all consequences that ensue.

The IRA would also like to take this opportunity to reiterate its commitment to mobilizing its capacities to ensure the full implementation of the Pretoria Agreement to address our people's fundamental questions and ensure law and order.

በ1962 (እኤአ): ኢትዮጵያ፣ ከኤርትራ ጋር የነበራትን የፌዴሬሽን ውል ሽራ፣ ኤርትራን በጉልበት 'አዋሃድኩ' ያለች ዕለት፣ የኤርትራ ኃይሎች፣ የትጥቅ ትግል ለመጀመር የመጀመርያውን ጥይት ተኮሱ። በዚህ ቀን፣ ከሁለተኛው የዓለም ጦርነት ጀምሮ በኢምፓየሩ ውስጥ ሰፍኖ የነበረው አንፃራዊ ሰላም ደግሞ ላይጠራ ደፈረሰ። ከዚህ ቀን ጀምሮ፣ የኢትዮጵያ ፖለቲካ፣ በይፋ፣ በጠመንጃ አፈሙዝ ብቻ የሚነጋገሩበት የብረት ፖለቲካ ሆነ። የፖለቲካ ድልም፣ በደም የሚበየን ሆ��።

ገና በወጉ ያልተተገበረውን ፌደሬሽን በማፍረስ "አንድነትን አመጣን" ያሉት የኢትዮጵያ የፖለቲካ ልሂቃን፣ የኢትዮጵያን የቁልቁለት ጉዞ አስጀመሩ። ለመቶ ሺህዎች እልቂት ምክንያት የሆነውን የጦርነት ወላፈን ለመመገብ፣ ቁጥር ስፍር የሌላቸውን ወጣቶች ���ማገድ ጀመሩ።

በ2018ም (እኤአ)፣ ገና በወጉ ያልተተገበረውን የኢትዮጵያ ሕብረ-ብሔራዊ ፌደራሊዝም ለመሻር፣ የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት፣ በመንቀሳቀስ፣ እስከዚያ ወቅት ድረስ የነበረውን አንጻራዊ ሰላም በማናጋት፣ የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነቶችን ለማድረግ የፕሮፓጋንዳ ዘመቻ ጀመረ፣ አስጀመረ። "የአንድነት ጠበቃ ነን" የሚሉት የኢትዮ-አማራ ልሂቃንም" የዚህ ዘመቻ ፊታውራሪ በመሆን "ከመንግሥት ጎን ነን" እያሉ ፎከሩ። #አብይአህመድ ሥር ተኮልኩለው፣ ያንን ያረጀ፣ የነተበና የከሸፈ "የኣሃዳዊነት" ወግ፣ "መደመር" በሚል ካባ ሸፋፍነው፣ ፌደራሊዝሙንና ሕገ-መንግሥቱን ለመሻር፣ "የብሔር" ፖለቲካ የሚሉትን የብሔር-ተኮር ፍትህ ፖለቲካ (politics of ethno-national justice) ለማጥፋት፣ ለዚህም ሲባል "ብሔርተኞችን" (በመግደል) ለማጥፋት በሰፊው ተንቀሳቀሱ። የተነጣጠሩ የፖለቲካ ግድያዎችን፣ የጅምላ ፍጅትና እስርን፣ ማፈናቀልና የዘር-ማጽዳትን ፈጸሙ፣ አስፈጸሙ።

ይሄ��� አልበቃ ስላላቸው፣ ትግራይ ምርጫ ስላደረገ፣ "ሉዓላዊነታችን ተደፈረ፣ አንድነታችን አደጋ ተደቀነበት" እያሉ፣ የለየለት የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነትን ለማድረግ፣ ከውጭ ኃይሎች ጋር ጭምር ተባብረው፣ በትግራይ ሕዝብ ላይ ዘመቱ። የክፍለዘመኑን አውዳሚ ጦርነት ተገበሩ። በሚሊዮን የሚቆጠር ሕዝብን ፈጁ።

ሕብረ-ብሔራዊ ፌደራሊዝምን በመሻር "አንድነትን ለማምጣት" በሚል ሰበብ የመዘዙት ሰይፍ፣ የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነትን፣ የኢትዮጵያ የፖለቲካ ቋንቋ ቋሚ አካል አደረጉ።

በመሆኑም፣ ዛሬም፣ አገሪቱ፣ በዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነቶች ማዕበል እየተናጠች ትገኛለች።

የሚገርመው፣ ባልጠበቁት መንገድ የዚህ ዓይነት ጦርነት ተጠቂ (ፈጻሚም) የሆ���ት የኢትዮ-አማራ ልሂቃን፣ ዛሬም ከዚህ ጥፋት ለመታረም አለመቻላቸውና ዛሬም "የብሔር ፖለቲካን" እና ፌደራሊዝምን ማፍረስ፣ ቁልፍና ዋነኝ የፖለቲካ ማታገያ የትግል ርዕሰ-ገዳይ አድርገው መቀጠላቸው ነው።

ከዙህ በፊት ደጋግመን እንደተናገርነው፣ አንዴ የፌደራሊዝም ጎማዎች መሽከርከር ከጀመሩ በኋላ፣ ጎማውን ለማስቆም መሞከር፣ ሞካሪውን ጭዳ (cidhaa) ያደርጋል እንጂ መሽከርከሩን አያስቆመውም። Once the wheels of federalism have started to run, you may try to stop them at your own peril.

ሕብረ-ብሔራዊ ፌደራሊዝምን ለመሻር የተደረገው የቅርብ ዓመ ሙከራ፣ የመጨረሻ ውጤቱ፣ በሕብረ-ብሔራዊ ፌደሬሽን አማካኝነት ለመፍጠር የተሞከረውን ሕብረ-ብሔራዊ ትብብር፣ አጋርነት፣ እና ከብሔር ነፃ የሆነ (ethno-nationally secular) ወይም ሕብራዊ (plurinational) የሆነ ኢትዮጵያዊነት ድምጥማጡን አጥፍቶታል። የዘር ማጥፋት ጦርነትና የአገር ውድመት አስከትሏል።

ከዚህ አልፎም፣ ኢትዮጵያ ሊኖራት የሚችለውን በሆነ ዓይነት መዋቅር (በፌደሬሽን፣ በኮንፌደሬሽን፣ ወዘተ) የመሰባሰብና የትብብር ተስፋ ለዘላለሙ አክስሟል። በኢትዮጵያውያ�� ልብ ውስጥ የነበረ (ኖሮ የሚያውቅ ከነበረ) የኢትዮጵያዊነት ተስፋን ገድሎአል። መልሶ እንዳያንሰራራ አድርጎ ቀብሮታል።
