@mindyourbusines@ErikVoorhees Lol. Every single one of Elon's SpaceX employees is about to become a millionnaire when the company goes public next week.
Yet you think they are underpaid.
@_Adrian@saylor Is this the first time in Bitcoin's history that it has come up against a newer asset class (AI companies)?
Saylor once said Bitcoin represents an entirely new asset class, therefore warrants attention from all investors.
@JoshMandell6 Would Strategy be better walking back from the whole "STRC is designed to hold near $100" and "We'll do everything we can to keep it in its trading range"?
Just let the market do whatever it wants to do?
STRC looks like a failure, whereas STRF, STRD & STRK look undervalued.
@AdamBLiv I really like STRF, STRD & of course STRK.
But asking STRC to hold near to a $100 peg during a BTC sell off, when their other fixed rate prefs have even higher effective yields?
Not to mention SATA going daily.
There is work for Saylor to do. Maybe retire the fixed rate prefs.
@OffshoreHODL@saylor STRC is going to have a tough two weeks here. The other prefs (STRF, STRD & STRK) are all competing for the same record date, plus SATA is going daily.
@diglloyd@AdamBLiv That's the problem Strategy have right now.
If you just want to bag yield this month, STRD (& STRK minus the equity component) will pay you more with the same record / payout dates as STRC.
Unlike with ASST, MSTRs own prefs compete with each other.
@hillery_dan Strategy's fixed rate prefs sold off near the close on Friday, presumably to grab that final monthly rotation into ASST.
Hence they are rebounding a little today.
@AdamBLiv STRF, STRD and STRK all hammered at the close today, presumably to buy SATA for the final monthly rotation.
With SATA going daily, it could bring Strategy's fixed rate prefs a bit more attention & demand.
While all eyes are on SATA, I think STRF, STRD & STRK just bottomed.
@hodlneversodl21@JoshMandell6 Strategy can't control people on the secondary market choosing to sell their STRC shares at the market rate.
They'll give the market a chance to buy up the discount first.
Also, if improved credit ratings are inbound, that would trump any minor yield juicing.
Let STRC mature.
@JoeConsorti I don't remember reading in the Bitcoin white paper that it was "supposed to go up" in dollar value whenever the US engages in a new conflict.
@ColeMacro@Strive Very interesting.
Strategy want STRC dividend payments to be made twice monthly.
I wonder why they didn't opt for more frequent payments? I guess having some delay between record dates introduces a little juicy slippage, therefore attracts more trading and liquidity.
@AdrianCercenia@investingtutor@PunterJeff@coffeebreak_YT Jeff did great.
But, to this question, I would of replied that insurance is a service, not product.
A service is something which expires in a given timeframe with zero value. Whereas a product is something you may wish to sell in the future...
