The validation of our Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) strategy and the development of the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF) for the Baringo County Conservancies Association (BCCA), supported by @WWF_Kenya, have been successfully completed
Big News! The Baringo County Conservancies Association (BCCA) is our newest partner in our Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) project. Through a Ksh 7.52 million grant, @Bconservancies will implement climate change and nature-based priorities identified in a recently developed Baringo-Bogoria Integrated Landscape Programme. BCCA’s role will include the development of a people-centred restoration plan for Kiborgoch Community Wetland and Wildlife Conservancy as well as strengthening the capacity of community conservancies in Baringo. @WeAreVCA project is funded by WWF-Netherlands.
@Bconservancies in collaboration with @BaringoGeopark recently commemorated the #WorldWildlifeDay2024. The day was used to enhance understanding & raise awareness of wildlife conservation; and showcase the use of @EarthRangerTech for wildlife monitoring, especially Greater Kudu
Wetlands provide many ecosystems benefits such as preventing and reducing flooding, offer habitat for flora & fauna such as mangroves and birds, are a source of fresh water as well as acting as climate mitigation & adaptation systems.

Building sustainable tourism in Baringo, Kiplombe conservancy and @Treasures_Kenya/Germany forge steps forward in partnership with Baringo County Government represent by theMCA Hon Robert Kipsang, and BCCA, CEO.
Key outcomes: Baseline findings, SWOT analysis and Letter of Intent.
BCCA joined the CEC lands, urban planning and housing, and Lake Bogoria community represented by EWC in a discussion on registration of community land under the community land act 2016.
BCCA is stepping into 2024 with a renewed commitment towards community engagement for biodiversity conservation.
