I matched this week. Humbled, grateful, relieved.

If you don't match it WILL be ok. My husband didn't match the first year he applied. There was a lot of self-doubt and soul searching. He matched the next year and was "resident of the year" in his program. Anything is possible.

@ajzmann @jbcarmody Yes I had that same exact thought. If we filter programs to apply to by who currently takes DOs, then they just won’t get the apps. And that’s true. Just because we are DOs, it does not mean we don’t want to be in academic med.

The sad part is I love being osteopathically trained. I can do wonderful things for my future obstetric patients with the skills I’ve learned. But why do I need to help the rich get richer to do this?

My school is allowing me to graduate without PE. Contemplating whether I want to be boarded as an osteopathic physician in the future. @NBOME is not giving me much incentive with their conflicts of interest and greedy pockets. Shame on them.
