I actually disagree. Anime came from the east, but there are western animation studios that can adapt the same style and writing if they just put in a little effort (which nobody ever sees cuz all these companies are lazy-ass mother fudgers that wanna half-ass cheat their way to a cheap, low quality success which makes us hate western animation shit). Wouldn't it be great if there was an anime and you couldn't tell if the east or west made it cuz both were of good high quality? Wouldn't it be great if the west could actually achieve something like that? Fat chance, but I've been surprised before.
Okay, I understand what you're saying, but here's my take on it. First, I agree that more originals should be made. If one starts good, but falls flat midway, I don't think it's because it's original. It just wasn't written well. Same can be said for a manga. I don't see how any of this has to do with Shonen. In fact, I disagree westerners mostly want Shonen. There are plenty of non-Shonen anime that are well received in the U.S. Ecchi, adventure, and fantasy are pretty successful as far as I can see. Especially after OPM's massive failure, who would want to touch a Shonen again? Diehards. I myself gave OPM season 1 a chance and I dropped it halfway because I lost interest, but that's just me. I'd say if anything is killing anime, it's censorship, improper AI usage, and repetitivity. Nothing less interesting than seeing the same boring crap over and over. And that really does come from adaptations more than anything. I think they really should take more risks. Sure there may be some flops, but there will always be now and then a banger no matter the genre. It really depends on the writer. Take SAO, concepts may be great, but it takes a good writer to make something good (Reki was not good). Any good story comes with well developed characters usually relatable and pacing. So failed originals just weren't good. May have started out with good concepts, but falls when people realize only its concept was good.
@approject@SpeakerJohnson@HouseCommerce Ya'll are either evil working for the antichrist or too stupid to see the citizens of your country have no place in your "federal age". And stop lying, everyone already knows your desire to protect children is bullshit. Just say it, government wants control of the people.
@ToonHive@MegansStats@theestallion That's a cartoon. Not an anime. Jeez, why do people like this have to be so uncultured that they think if it's animated, it must be anime.
Megan Thee Stallion’s upcoming anime series is reportedly titled ‘Hotties.’
The series will be produced by The Boondocks producer Carl Jones and is set to release soon on Prime Video.
@Pirat_Nation I don't wish him any harm, but this guy is equivalent to Hitler. Can't wait to find out when someone's gonna discover his body in a pile of garbage cuz rioters already want this.
Does anyone know this guy? He approached me on the street in Tokyo, and asked if I liked yaoi. "I suppose I do," I responded, and he flashed me a big grin, and said "Then have I got the place for you." He took me to this underground store full of boys love material.
