Sweden is officially trading screens and tablets for physical books and handwriting to reverse a decline in reading skills.
Once at the forefront of hyper-digitalized learning, Sweden is engineering a dramatic pivot back to the basics in its classrooms. Concerned that an overreliance on digital tablets and screens has eroded reading comprehension and foundational writing skills, Swedish education officials are investing heavily in traditional printed textbooks.
The national strategy aims to phase out digital devices for children under the age of six entirely, following a drop in international reading assessment scores.
Experts point out that while technology was championed to level the playing field, its unrestricted use has instead led to shorter attention spans and reduced retention among younger learners.
Scientific evidence strongly supports this retro transition. Research indicates that the physical act of handwriting activates complex neural networks governing motor skills, vision, memory, and language—cognitive benefits that are largely lost on a keyboard.
Furthermore, reading from a printed page provides critical spatial cues that aid comprehension, unlike digital screens that often subject students to cognitive fatigue and constant distractions. While computers and tablets remain valuable tools for research and collaboration, educators worldwide are watching Sweden's massive reinvestment in physical books as a potential blueprint for a more balanced, science-backed approach to modern schooling.

The best way to improve your self-esteem:
Get your body in shape.
It won't fix everything, but the effort needed to get yourself lean and healthy is something that you can always look back on and be proud of.
Father, I commit this day into Your hands. Go before me, fight every battle I cannot see, silence every voice that rises against me, and establish Your perfect will in every area of my life. Let Your mercy speak for me where I deserve judgment, and let Your favor open doors that no man can shut.
I declare that today belongs to the Lord, and because it belongs to Him, it shall end in praise. I shall return home with thanksgiving, carrying testimonies of God's faithfulness, goodness, and power.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen. ❤️

Start raw-dogging life.
Drive in silence. Read at the gym. Talk to strangers. Eat without social media. Run without headphones. Walk barefoot on the grass. Delete social media from your phone (except twitter). Cook from scratch. Hand-write a letter. Stare out the window on a flight. Skip the GPS. Get lost on purpose. Eat at the bar alone. Talk to the bartender (flirt with her). Do nothing, actually nothing. Take a walk with no destination. Enjoy boredom because the richest experiences are "boring."
Simply start to not give a fuck and your life will become amazing.
As I get older I realize maintenance is cheaper than repair. Lifting weights now saves you the cost of losing independence. Quality sleep now is cheaper than trying to fix dementia. The best medicine on the planet is prevention, and you can achieve this by working to maintain what you have.
Luxuries we forget that are luxuries:
1. Your mom still around
2. Hot water
3. Feeling healthy
4. Peace of mind & heart
5. Perfect weather days
6. Good food
7. Bills paid
8. Reliable transportation
You know what shook me when I was Muslim?
The story of Hosea. God tells a prophet to marry a woman He knows will betray him.
She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, used up, worthless to the world.
And God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK.
To pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. Hosea 3.
I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Why would any man do that?
Then I realized I was the wife.
I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters. I sold myself cheap. I made myself worthless.
And God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.”
He said, “Name the price. I’m buying her back.”
That’s the Gospel. God doesn’t wait for the unfaithful to come crawling back clean.
He pays to redeem them while they’re still dirty.
Islam told me to make myself worthy of God.
Hosea showed me a God who pays to redeem the unworthy.
The cross was Him naming the price.
Praise the Lord.
Quit waiting for motivation, you’re acting like a loser. Set the alarm. Get out of bed. Train your body. Feed it real food. Keep your house clean. Handle your responsibilities before they become problems. Spend less than you earn. Build skills every single day. Decide who you want to be and earn that identity through your actions. Outwork your excuses. Stay disciplined when nobody is watching. Rest when it makes you stronger, not because you got uncomfortable. Walk with confidence. Say what you mean. Commit fully. Laugh when things get hard. Time doesn’t slow down for anyone. Pain is part of the deal. So is growth. People with fewer advantages have built incredible lives. You can too. Nobody gets a free pass. Nobody is disqualified. Keep showing up.
Bible Verse for the new month: Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert - Isaiah 43:19
4 things that will serve you for life:
- Working hard
- Being likeable
- Willingness to learn
- Appetite for taking risks
If you have these 4, you will go far in life.
Even if you start from nothing.
Sometimes, "Deliver us from evil" means:
Lord, save me from myself.
From the desires that pull me away from You.
From the impulses that sabotage what You're building in me.
