Totally baffled and disappointed by disconnect from last week's ep. Also hate the preaching - don't need it in an escapist show.
It feels like a shark jump to me.
Am I the only person fed up with our party leaders 'running for PM"? We don't vote for our PM. Their parliamentary party does. We vote for our local member. #auspol#AusVotes2019#AusVotes
Dear Fraser Anning. I am a 71 y.o. Anglo-Australian. Ancestors arrived here in 1800s. Grew up in Cronulla. Don't tell me you have to look a certain way or pray to a certain god in a certain way to be Australian. You're the one who acts un-Australian.
@JoeABCNews @ScottMorrisonMP@abcnews @billshortenmp Grunt? EVs have better accelleration than petrol engines. I'm a female in my 70s and even I know that.
(And you should see me drag almost everything off at the lights in my Prius C.)
@Alisoninlibrary @al_mq@ColeenMacK_AUS@JaneCaro @DMacKinnonAU @GirlsAgenda What a retrograde step. But so many parents these days want their kids to look like they go to private schools. Make them wear clothes they would never wear themsekves.
@al_mq@ColeenMacK_AUS @Alisoninlibrary @JaneCaro @DMacKinnonAU @GirlsAgenda My kids went to ACT public schools. Definitely no button down shirts then - polos were the go, or t-shirts, both primary and high schools.
All dress code. Get on the P&C about more practical options, or change schools.
@Mumdeep@JaneCaro @DMacKinnonAU @ColeenMacK_AUS @GirlsAgenda No uniforms at Canberra colleges (yrs 11 & 12). Only uniforms seen were for Maccas and KFC where the kids were doing their shifts. No probs.
@Mumdeep@JaneCaro @DMacKinnonAU @ColeenMacK_AUS @GirlsAgenda My kids went to ACT govt schools. Non-compulsory uniform with "colour code" options. No-one ever seemed to worry about who was wearing what. Similar scenario at their high schools, with strict enforcement of rules on size of brand names and logos, slogans etc.
@reallykazcooke Smartphones are a real challenge for many people. It's like all their lives they have ridden a bicycle and now someone comes along and takes it away, drops a set of car keys in their hand and leaves them to figure it out.
@reallykazcooke I have been teaching older Australians to use computers ever since I retired. People who've grown up with just don't realise how hard they find it.
