I had to bite my tongue I was ready to start yelling, but the staff handled it.

This goes deeper than fear. We live with clashing values: the drive to achieve colliding with the need to feel safe, the longing for freedom battling the craving for belonging, - Values often conflict for sure.

I don't want please, but at a minimum don't come up to me and start ranting when clearly I'm engaged and focused on a task. Many on the spectrum don't like that either. It's manners too.

@realtalkcarla @perceptualware The lack of manners, of going up to someone and asking a question without alerting the person is annoying to me. Example:

1. Excuse me could you please look at this document. vs
2. Look at this document
The difference is obvious but many choose option 2, that's a problem.

In the workplace and socially, there is an assumption you know the cultural practices of a tribe/group etc. But often one either does not or just finds the practices do not make sense to them. I have to post again to give an example.

@realtalkcarla @perceptualware All of it. It's just that every person on the spectrum might have all these things he says, but to different extents. For example, I have some sensory issues, but I have those on the spectrum who have them very bad. I can wear wool ok but they can't.
