One of the best features of the Cybercab is the auto-open doors.
You can just leave the door open and walk away, it will close and leave automatically!
I remember when some Waymos were having issues with customers leaving the doors open and the cars got stuck
And just three minutes on interstate 4 I saw 4 accidents w 6 totaled cars, one of which had the car completely flipped over in the median. The other two cars look like they sideswiped and ran each other off the road into a swamp. If they all had FSD, I can guarantee you none of this would happen.
I’ve stopped filming my 400+ mile road trips in their entirety now because it’s pointless. It isn’t impressive anymore hah.
I run the camera for edge cases but don’t pay attention to the shot anymore because I don’t plan to stitch it all into a video. A zero intervention ride from Philadelphia to the south isn’t impressive anymore.
1 year ago the car couldn’t park itself inside of FSD.
2 years ago the car couldn’t start FSD from park, couldn’t reverse at all, highway wasn’t end-to-end, and disengagements were still common for unprotected turns and embarrassing situations.
2.5 years ago that shit could barely drive 2 minutes in my area without doing something beyond stupid.
2.5 years.
Imagine 2.5 more
NEWS: Louisiana signs a BEAD grant agreement with SpaceX's Starlink to connect its rural parishes
Starlink will bring high-speed internet to more than 10,000 rural locations across more than 50 parishes by the end of summer, ConnectLA Executive Director Veneeth Iyengar said.
Customers get the equipment free and pay about $55 a month for service that runs above the state standard of 100 megabits download and 20 megabits upload.
Louisiana was the first state to sign BEAD agreements.
"The cost of providing fiber connectivity for some of these locations was going to be so expensive that likely it would have made better sense, and it would have been quicker, to connect these folks with Starlink," Iyengar said.

@SawyerMerritt For retirees: Expect to have to make a personal visit to the Social Security office to change your direct deposit bank due to common scams. These offices have the traditional DMV vibe and efficiency. This was my personal experience switching to X Money.
Elon explained on Tesla’s latest Q2 earnings call why Starlink integration in Teslas is so important.
“Starlink will be integrated into all our car vehicles, at least for markets that Starlink is active.”
It will start with the Cybercab and is expected to expand across the Tesla fleet. It’s important for Robotaxis to have reliable coverage everywhere, they shouldn’t ever enter cellular dead zones, especially in places like Silicon Valley for example.
Meanwhile, I’m driving to Yosemite in my Cybertruck right now while FSD handles the entire drive and Starlink beams internet to me directly from space.
• 123 Mbps down
• 25 Mbps up
• 42 ms latency
1/ Tesla builds the vehicle.
2/ FSD drives it.
3/ Starlink keeps it connected.
A global autonomous fleet needs a reliable, always-connected backbone… and Starlink is the answer.

NVIDIA deserves massive credit for everything it has done for the open-source community
NVIDIA and Jensen Huang have done more for the open-source and open-model ecosystem than almost any other company in tech
For years, Jensen and NVIDIA have backed developers, hosted major global events, collaborated with open-source projects, released models, datasets and frameworks, and brought engineers, startups and industry leaders together
They have contributed through engineering, capital, infrastructure and distribution
NVIDIA has released more than 1,000 open-source projects across GitHub and Hugging Face, while contributing to critical technologies including the Linux kernel, Kubernetes, PyTorch, vLLM and SGLang
Its quarterly FOSS Fund puts money directly into independent projects nominated by NVIDIA engineers
After acquiring SchedMD, NVIDIA committed to keeping Slurm open-source and vendor-neutral, ensuring it remains available across different hardware ecosystems
And the scale is even massive
NVIDIA is committing tens of billions of dollars toward advancing open-weight AI models, tools and infrastructure....putting enormous resources behind a more open AI ecosystem
This is not just releasing code
It is billions of dollars in compute, engineering, research and infrastructure flowing into open AI
The Hugging Face security incident showed exactly why this is so important
When closed AI systems blocked essential forensic work, an open-weight model running on Hugging Face infrastructure helped analyze more than 17,000 attacker actions and assist with containment
NVIDIA responded by bringing dozens of major companies, security organizations and open-source groups together through the Open Secure AI Alliance
In a world where frontier AI is increasingly moving behind closed walls, NVIDIA has become one of the strongest forces keeping the open ecosystem alive, secure and competitive
Open source needs champions. NVIDIA has become one of them
How the fuck were 30% of Haitians living in the US on the Temporary Protected Status program able to get mortgages that American citizens wouldn't qualify for?
Red states are gaining the most productive taxpayers each year.
The weird part is the response of Blue states to losing their most productive citizens.
They are not cutting taxes to retain their best taxpayers, they are INCREASING taxes even more.
