You wouldn’t believe how I feel. I don’t hibernate around this time, but my apartment is freezing all time! I feel like I’m gonna turn into ice in there...
“It’s... It’s hard to explain. If I could show you I would, but there’s no time now. I’m afraid this is the end of the line for me.”
He began to turn around to leave.
Bearcop knew this question was coming up.
“There exists two realities that I know of so far. In the other one, I froze to death. My body died and I died as a whole.”
Bearcop shook his head and looked back up.
“I died multiple times in that reality.”
“Maybe I could cheat death... I remember dying in one reality... I don’t remember how, but I did. I could cheat death in this reality though!”
He didn’t want to let go, but he knew he had to eventually.
“Hey c’mon, don’t cry. It’s just... a little delay is all. I’ll be back... I promise.”
He presses the hat softly down on her head and rubs it in.
“We’ll have a waffle feast when I get back, I promise.”
He wiped the tears from her eyes. He hugged her as tight as he could and stood there, he didn’t want to let go, but he could try and be optimistic.
“I might cheat death, who knows? But I want you to keep that hat warm for me if I come back, can you promise me that?”
Bearcop places a paw on Zero’s shoulder and smiles again.
“I don’t want to give up, but death waits for no one, not even me...”
He takes off the hat he’s kept with him since birth and places it on top of Zero’s head.
“Might be a bit big, but it looks better on you than me.”
He approaches @Whispering_Wisp, unfortunately, he doesn’t bear good tidings.
“Zero? I need to tell you something, and I’m afraid you’re not gonna like what I have to say.”
“Oh boy, these waffles are the tastiest in town.”
The bear kept moving until he saw the restaurant in sight.
“I’m actually a regular there, I kind of scare the customers because, well, I’m a big fluffy bear!”
