@brahma_4u It's true, not perception. I lived and worked in Mumbai and Bangalore for a few depressing years. The cities are dirty, with many mosquitoes and poor people, and the Indian caste system is inhumane. India is definitely a dirty, unhygienic country.

Years ago, two of my friends had to go to India in a student exchange for 3 weeks. Before they even set foot on the plane, they had to get vaccinated for all type of infectious diseases. They more or less spent 2 weeks going to the clinic and take several shots. When they returned from India, they were sick for close to 2 weeks because they caught something the vaccines didnt catch, and the doctor's were not sure what it was. They were in hospital in quarantine and pumped with antibiotics in dosages meant for horses. So, if India wants to hosts the Olympics, they better clean up the ship from their streets and waters. Literally.
