I thought that expanding to a playoff that featured the top best teams AND having bowls was possible.

What I didn't realize is that the reason I viewed the bowl games and the reasons I THOUGHT these teams played in bowls was apparently very off.

I thought the schools played these bowls for the money sure, but also for the trophy, accomplishment, post season, more tape, to win something with your brothers, to celebrate a good season.

That seems to hold true in the MAC, CUSA, PAC12, MW, Fun Belt, American, even BIG12 and ACC.

What I didn't realize is that actually football is ONLY about the money and sitting out / skipping bowls entirely is how the SEC and BIG10 would handle things.

Such a pathetic display of sportsmanship. Play the damn games. Play the games with your brothers. Finish the season strong.

The NFL only one team can go out with a win in the post season. In College Football that wasn't the case. Every team could have a chance to exit the season with a trophy and a win. It was better that way.

@Brett_McMurphy @On3 Do not do that. Im sure we can live in a perfect world where both the playoff and bowls can exist. I watch most of the bowls. Had some friends that played CFB and they have fond memories from the bowl experiences, even "minor" bowl gms.
