It was so good to meet other creatives and write a short story! I haven’t given my self space to write in ages and tonight I did just that. Reading out my story and hearing others read their reminded me of the importance of description to create vivid imagery in the reader’s mind

These are the books my 14 year old is studying for GCSE, as opposed to a load of books he’s actually CHOSEN to read. Not one of his GCSE texts is less than 77 years old ….older than any of his grandparents. There’s so much out there that COULD spark joy in reading.

@nolasimontjo @ianhanomansing Indeed, and there are 15,000 strategies at any one time. And once they focus on one the others fall by the wayside and lose steam. It feels like an impossible feat.
