@MartinHGAnthony Me neither apart from brief visits to Hadrian’s Wall and Newcastle when we lived in Cumbria. We’ve factored in some Harry Potter related tourism to keep the girls happy.
@MartinHGAnthony Oh wow. We were there when they were filming the very last series of Doc Martin which was pure fluke. Amazing views up that side of the harbour!
@MartinHGAnthony Our favourite places. Port Gaverne is great for a paddle or swim. If you can time a trip to Trebarwith Strand at low tide, it’s lovely and dog friendly too.
Pub dinner and a evening ramble to listen for Nightjar at RSPB Broadwater Warren. After the devastation at Minsmere and Dunwich this week it’s miraculous that the heather here is flourishing. Heard two Nightjar churring.
What began as a spontaneous street session led by Glen Hansard, grew into one of Dublin’s most meaningful festive traditions raising funds for the Simon Community.
Christmas Eve just won't feel the same.
RIP Glen Hansard.
I have no words. The Frames were the soundtrack of my teens and Glen's gigs and collaborations were the stuff of dreams. This is a sad day for Irish music.
Nice shout out to Our Lady of Knock before the Mayo captain lifted the Sam Maguire. That was some speech he gave as well. Sore throat today no doubt. Maigh Eo Abú

There hasn't been enough Bill Oddie on our screens in recent years. His original Spring watch and Autumn watch shows were amazing and made me get out with my binoculars more. And who can forget 'Funky Gibbon' by The Goodies. Another childhood favourite gone.
